Arthritis Program
This arthritis program is a comprehensive four to six week program designed to target patients who suffer from soft tissue, joint pain, and/or stiffness that limits activity & function.
- A comprehensive evaluation, including strength/ROM/swelling evals, functional dexterity testing, pain and ADL assessments, & interest checklist.
- An individualized exercise program designed to increase strength & flexibility & to decrease deformity.
- Exploration of assistive devices coupled with patient education & in-clinic practice.
- Education on proper joint mechanics & joint protection strategies and practice implementing these principles in ADL.
- Address pain management & energy conservation techniques.
- Address stress management techniques and practice the relaxation response.
The Program’s Goal
- To provide a holistic, individualized, comprehensive evaluation.
- To determine patients’ goals and help attain those goals.
- To educate patients on the disease process per Arthritis Foundation.
- To educate and train patients on adaptive techniques & strategies, including joint protection, pain management, & energy conservation.
- To provide assistive devices to increase independence with ADLs.
- To prevent deformity.

Most major insurances are accepted, including Medicare & Humana Gold Plus. If an insurance company is not in-network, can will be happy to call for out-of-network benefits.
